I am a true Okie at heart, sooner born and sooner bread. I am from a small town of 40,000 or so. The famous people from my hometown are Will Rogers, Patty Page and Stuart Roosa. Garth Brooks now lives here but is from Yukon, Ok. I love University of Oklahoma football. I am a season ticket holder (so sad for those still on the waiting list – 5yrs long) I did some time on that waiting list and then got smart and donated more money. We should have our name in a brick or something for that I think. My favorite holiday is OU/Texas weekend. It is the greatest rivalry in college football history. It has been that way since October of 1900. The game is held in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Fair Park (a neutral site) usually the 2nd weekend in October. It is my St. Patrick’s Day (because you wear your team colors) my 4th of July (because it is one big celebration) and New Year’s (because I must wait one whole year to come back again) I have been working on my genealogy for about six years. I am fascinated to know where I come from and who my ancestors are and how they came to America. My politics are conservative with a few exceptions. My roots are Southern. My first American love was Elvis. My first British love was Mr. Darcy. I am Presbyterian but I do not attend as much as I should. I will buy you food and serve it you but I will not give you money. I do not trust people easily. I am not a fan of seafood or chocolate. I am not an analyst. I take things at face value. I do not like the gray areas.

I found myself engulfed on or about December 18, 2008 with the Twilight series. I read and re-read until well until now. I love the books. The words get in your head and stay there. Others feel the same way so I know I am not crazy (well maybe just a smidge)

As of late, I have fallen in love with the music of four British men. Sam Bradley, Bobby Long, Marcus Foster and that other guy. It is like nothing I have ever experienced. It is so moving to see someone’s dreams coming true. I am blessed enough to have had my dreams come true but never watched from afar. To be a small part of it is incredible. I do not always understand what their songs are about (that non-analyst thing again) but I love their music and sing along anyway. I can not wait to see them live.

Now, I am a LandofDreamers member and a member of the Heartland LoD Street Team. I have made some great online friends through LoD. I can not wait to meet them but I am a little afraid to meet them. (that not trusting people thing again) I have only met them on the internet. But my new saying is “what the hell, why not” Not really I am not that carefree. I am just hoping for the best and going on blind faith.
